We usually celebrate International Credit Union Day, which is held in mid-October. We have an AGM , usually in December, which gives members a chance to meet each other and the staff and board, as well as making your voices heard on the running of the credit union.

Friends of Grampian Credit Union Lottery
The Friends of Grampian Credit Union run a private lottery open only to credit union members. Tickets cost £1 each and members can buy up to 10 tickets in any monthly draw. The lottery is normally drawn on the last Tuesday of every month. Half the lottery income goes to the credit union to fund its promotion and development.
Junior Accounts
Basic financial education from an early age is one of the most important things that we can teach children around us. Grampian Credit Union offers the opportunity to set up a Junior Account for young savers (0-16) with a competitive annual interest rate (currently 4%) to help them have extra finance as they enter into their adult life.

Grampian Credit union have signed up to offer members the CredECard pre-paid Maestro card. This allows funds to be transferred direct from your member account onto a debit card without the hassle and without fuss of coming into the office and, providing you with instant access to the money in your account. The card can be used at cash machines, in shops and for TV/phone/internet shopping.

Ever Wanted to Learn More About Credit Unions?
The Association of British Credit Unions (ABCUL) is introducing a series of free online training courses for credit union staff, members and volunteers to learn more about credit unions, their values and ethics and how they work.
The first course, Introduction to Credit Unions, is now available. This short course gives a basic outline of credit unions, how they are run and the services they provide.
This course is ideal for anyone new to the credit union whether they be staff, volunteers or members and only takes around 60 minutes to complete.
